Pest Central
The Pest Central solution is a complete holistic approach to pest data capture management covering all facets from data capture right through to analysis and reporting.
This solution is the result of extensive consultation between landcare groups, land protection authorities, regional bodies, state and local governments and is a direct response to market requirements.
The system was developed through funding from the NRM Regional Bodies of Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) and Desert Channels QLD (DCQ) to provide a solution to consistent Pest Data Capture and Analysis.
Ongoing funding via Biosecurity QLD (DEEDI) will ensure the future success of Pest Central and contribute to its purpose of providing a singular data repository for all Pest information in QLD.
These arrangements will guarantee that Pest Central will attract new participants and fulfill its promise to provide:
- A holistic approach to management of Weeds and Pest Animals throughout the state of Queensland.
- A centralised spatial database of strategies, surveys, infestations and treatments accessible to all participants.
- A proven field data collection and validation process to ensure data quality and consistency
